The Next-Gen Enterprise Headset will be available starting December 2022
Lisbon, 20 October 2022 – PICO, a leading VR brand with independent innovation and R&D creation capabilities, has revealed plans to launch the PICO 4 Enterprise, a next-generation, all-in-one VR headset that aims to help enterprise customers unlock potential and empower growth across key business areas including healthcare, education, training, and productivity.
The announcement follows the launch of the PICO 4, PICO's newest consumer headset introduced in September. Building on the comfort and performance offered by the PICO 4, the PICO 4 Enterprise brings next-generation features for businesses.
"The PICO 4 Enterprise is a great addition to our Enterprise offering and we are excited for our partners to get their hands on our most advanced headset yet,” said Oliver Wöhler, Enterprise Lead for EMEA. "At PICO, we are committed to offering software and hardware solutions that help our partners realize immersive enterprise solutions. The PICO 4 Enterprise does exactly that.”
Pioneering Performance Technology
PICO 4 Enterprise is the first PICO headset to feature precise face, eye, and hand tracking. Supported by two infrared cameras, the headset offers a more immersive and interactive VR experience that empowers meaningful connections for businesses wherever they operate. In addition, PICO 4 Enterprise has plans to support accurate automatic IPD adjustment, automatically adjusting to users' interpupillary measurements without additional input or lengthy tutorials.
The headset's four well-placed SLAM cameras placed around its thin frame enable high-precision tracking and mapping of surrounding environments, while maintaining a stylish appearance. Underneath the front panel lives a powerful 16MP RGB camera, bringing to life a display that boasts high color saturation, covering 85% of the NTSC color gamut, and 100% of the sRGB color gamut. The PICO 4 Enterprise is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon® XR2 platform which unlocks cutting edge display and graphics processing. The headset's 90Hz refresh rate, 4K+ screen, 105 degree field of vision, and 1,200 PPI combined with a 5,300mAh rear-mounted battery that supports the latest industry-standard Qualcomm Quick Charge QC 3.0 allows users to enjoy clear, uninterrupted journeys into virtual worlds.
The PICO 4 Enterprise controllers notably feature a one-piece rotating arc column, with cleverly placed infra-red sensors. Considering design and structural strength, the controllers allow users to move their hands closer together with ease while offering added protection provided by hit detection and spatial awareness. The PICO 4 controllers also support 6DoF, allowing users to enjoy a wider degree of movement within the virtual environment, and a HyperSense broadband motor for more realistic haptic feedback.
